CANDIDATE STATEMENT:
Hi Dolphins!
My name is Nathalia Raygoza, and I am running for Vice President. I am a sophomore Political Science major with a minor in Pre-Law, and I am a first-generation Latina student. This year, I currently serve as the Director of Operations for Student Government, where I gain experience supporting students and their needs.
Through my past experiences as a Disability Accomodations and Support Services (DASS) note taker and my advocacy work with Best Buddies nonprofit, I have seen the impact of supporting others, and I want to ekho students' voices. I want to continue that advocacy here on campus, making sure all students feel included and supported.
Being in university, many of us feel uncertainty, anxiety, and fear while trying to figure things out. I understand those feelings, and I want to ekho students' voices, so no one feels alone in that process.
I am running because I want to make sure no one is left behind. Everyone should feel comfortable getting involved in both academic and extracurricular activities that enhance the students experience.
Everyone deserves to feel like they belong here and that their voice matters. I am committed to representing students and making sure their voices are heard.
