Statement

Hey Dolphins! I am super excited that I have decided to run for a Student Government senator position. During my three years at CI, I have had many leadership opportunities whose experiences would aid me in the new role. While at CI I have attended the Back to Basics leadership retreat where I learned what the essence of leadership is and what it means to be a leader at CI. As an orientation leader, I got to share my love for CI as I showed others the CI way. I have also served in multiple positions on the executive board for the Residence Hall Association (RHA) such as Director of Finance and Vice President, where I have gained extensive experience in how to support a team, how to advocate for others and how to work towards a common goal for the great good. Currently I serve as the RHA President, where I have the opportunity to work closely with the Student Government for Housing and Residential Education (HRE) senator. This has given me a glimpse into the work that Student Government does. I have always admired the impact Student Government has and continues to make on our campus, but now I would like the opportunity help be a part of that change. If elected as a Student Government Senator, I would work tirelessly to best represent the students of CI and help create positive change for our campus.
