Statement

Greetings Channel Island students,

I am thrilled to announce that I am running for the one term Senator for the upcoming year. Right now I am currently a sophomore, majoring in business, with a minor in communications. The reason I am a business major is because I hope to become a business attorney, so having knowledge of business practices would help me achieve my goal. I have enjoyed learning about the law and legal practices ever since I was introduced to it many years ago. I have been in student government for year and I have loved my involvement in it. I have experience in student government practices, and understand the way student government works. I have built up connections with many faculty and staff on campus as well as having created a rapport with many clubs on campus. My goal is to continue to strengthen my connections with these clubs and expand to get to know even more clubs. It would be phenomenal for me to continue the relationships I have built on campus in order to continue to represent to student voice in the academic senate. Throughout my experiences of mock trial, and student government I have seen what it takes to take care of business and that is what I plan on doing for the students of Channel Islands. I am also a commuter student who understands the needs of the many commuters on campus. I have had the honor of learning to take the initiative on projects that would create a better campus for all people of California State University Channel Islands. If elected I will continue to strive to be the best possible representative I can be for the students of Channel Islands.
