TICKET #1:

Andrew Fox

PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE: ANDREW FOX

Double Major: Political Science & History
Minor: Philosophy | Class Standing in Fall 2024: Junior

PRESIDENT CANDIDATE STATEMENT:

My fellow Channel Islands Students,
My name is Andrew Fox, I am excited, proud, and honored to announce my candidacy for the Presidency of ASI Student Government. I am currently a Junior, double majoring in Political Science and History, and will be applying to law school before graduating. For the last year, I have served within the Executive Branch of Student Government as the Director of External Affairs, representing and advocating on behalf of the students of Channel Islands directly to CSU leadership. Being involved with Student Government as closely as I have, I have seen what works, and what doesn’t, and I will use that vital experience to guide my administration. I strongly believe in leadership, representation, and delivering tangible results for the student body in which I hope to be elected to represent. My running mate, Pearce Harris and I have spoken about what it means to be an effective leader, and we will use our unique life experiences, track record of leadership, and bold vision to make a positive, significant and lasting impact on the student body experience at California State University - Channel Islands. Thank you, and we hope to earn your vote this April.

Pearce Harris

VICE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE: PEARCE HARRIS

Major: Economics| Class Standing in Fall 2024: Senior

VICE PRESIDENT CANDIDATE STATEMENT:

Greetings CI Students!
My name is Pearce Harris, and I am excited to run for Student Government Vice President along with my good friend Andrew Fox. I am dedicated to being deeply involved in CSUCI’s student culture. I participate in a variety of student organizations such as Lobby Corps.
Through this club, I worked alongside my teammates and representatives from the rest of the CSU system to advocate for background checks for professors or coaches who have violated Title IX, CalGrant reform that would streamline financial aid and make it more accessible for a broader spectrum of students, as well as legislation that would allow undocumented students to seek out employment.
I’m also an active participant in Students for Quality Education, where we have discussed
key student issues such as tuition hikes. Additionally, I’m a member of the men’s club soccer team. Being exposed to a wide range of students through my participation in campus organizations has made me a more capable leader for CI. I am confident that my experience in Lobby Corps combined with my extensive engagement in on-campus organizations makes me an excellent candidate for Student Government Vice President. Vote for Fox and Harris!
