Major:  Political Science

CANDIDATE STATEMENT:

Greetings CI Students,

My name is Adrian Clark, and I am proud to announce my candidacy for President of Student Government for the upcoming academic year. I am a senior majoring in Information Technology, currently serving as your Senator for Academics and Technology and as the Vice President of Beta Gamma Nu. Through these leadership roles, I have developed a strong understanding of student needs, shared governance, and the responsibility that comes with representing our campus community.

I am seeking the position of President because I am passionate about strengthening student advocacy, improving communication, and ensuring that every student voice is represented at the highest level of student leadership. During my time as Senator for Academics and Technology, I have worked to support initiatives that enhance academic resources, promote innovation, and address technology-related concerns that directly impact student success. These experiences have given me firsthand insight into how decisions are made and how student perspectives can drive meaningful change.

Serving as Vice President of Beta Gamma Nu has further strengthened my leadership, organizational, and collaborative skills. In this role, I have worked closely with fellow student leaders to build professional development opportunities, foster community, and support academic excellence. Balancing multiple leadership responsibilities while maintaining my academic commitments has prepared me to take on the challenges and accountability required of the Student Government President.

I believe I would be a strong representative because I am experienced, approachable, and committed to action. I understand the importance of listening to students from all majors, backgrounds, and experiences. My background in Information Technology also allows me to think strategically about innovation, efficiency, and improving the systems that support student engagement and communication.

If elected President, my priorities will include increasing transparency within student government, strengthening collaboration between students and administration, and expanding opportunities for leadership and professional growth. I want to enhance academic and technological resources, support student organizations, and promote initiatives that prioritize student wellness and inclusivity. Most importantly, I aim to ensure that students feel informed, heard, and empowered.

CI has provided me with opportunities to grow both academically and as a leader. I am ready to give back by serving with integrity, dedication, and a clear vision for progress. It would be an honor to represent you as President of Student Government and to work alongside you to continue building a stronger, more connected campus community.

Thank you for your consideration.
