ASI STUDENT GOVERNMENT PRESIDENTIAL & VICE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES:
PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE: EMILY CONDE
Major: Pre-Nursing
Minor: Health Science | Class Standing in Fall 2025: Junior
PRESIDENT CANDIDATE STATEMENT:
Hello Dolphins!
My name is Emily Conde, and I’m running for ASI Student Government President alongside
my Vice President, Rocio Banda. I’m a first-generation student from Palmdale, California,
and a sophomore majoring in Pre-Nursing with a minor in Health Science.
Since my freshman year, I’ve been involved in Student Government and currently serve
as Chief of Staff. These experiences have helped me grow as a leader, advocate, and
team player, working closely with students and administration to support our campus
community.
As first-gen students, Rocio and I understand the challenges many of us face navigating
college. We’re committed to creating a campus where all students feel seen, supported,
and empowered. If elected, we will focus on improving communication between students
and administration, expanding mental health and academic resources, and increasing
leadership opportunities for students from all backgrounds.
CSUCI is more than a university—it’s a community. Rocio and I will work to strengthen
that community, ensuring every voice matters and no student is overlooked.
I would be honored to serve as your next ASI Student Government President. With your
support, we’re ready to lead with heart, dedication, and love for our Dolphin family!

VICE PRESIDENT CANDIDATE STATEMENT:
Hello CI Students,
My name is Rocio Banda, and I’m honored to be running for Student Government Vice
President alongside my good friend, Emily Conde. I’m a sophomore majoring in Psychology
with a minor in Art. At CSUCI, I believe every student’s voice matters, and I’m passionate
about bridging the gap between students and administration to create a more inclusive
and supportive campus.
As a Resident Advisor in Housing & Residential Education, I’ve gained firsthand insight
into student concerns and have worked closely with faculty, staff, and peers. I understand
the challenges many students face and the areas where more support is needed.
If elected, my top priorities will include increasing student engagement, supporting
enrollment, and expanding opportunities for involvement through clubs and organizations.
I’m committed to truly listening to student voices and taking meaningful action to
improve our campus experience.
Emily and I are ready to advocate for you and ensure your concerns are heard and addressed.
We hope to earn your support and your vote this April. Together, we can make CSUCI
the best it can be for every student.
