ASI STUDENT GOVERNMENT PRESIDENTIAL & VICE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES:

Quinn Hodge
PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE: QUINN HODGE

Major:Political Science
Minor:Pre-Law| Class Standing in Fall 2025: Senior

PRESIDENT CANDIDATE STATEMENT:

My name is Quinn Hodge, and I’m running for Student Government President. Even before classes, I was a part of CSUCI housing, learning how to serve our on-campus community. I get asked about services, events, and activities everyday—by not just freshmen, but students across campus. I try to be involved everywhere: as a sister of ZPO, a lieutenant in a Jugger team, and a student activist in Student Gov. I want to share the incredible opportunities here with others who haven’t yet discovered them. Having lived, worked, and eaten here, I understand the campus well, and I want to improve the student experience! If elected, my priorities will be transparency, accessibility, engagement, and amplifying student voices. I’ve learned how essential student involvement is in shaping our campus culture. There are plenty of events and resources students may not know about, not because they don’t care, but because it’s hard to keep up with everything. Life moves fast, and we don’t always have time to notice a flyer or ask what’s happening. By focusing on better communication and fostering engagement, we can build a stronger community at CI, one that’s welcoming and united, with a lasting impact for future students!

Stacy Ryan
VICE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE: STACY RYAN

Triple Major:Political Science, Global Studies, and Environmental Communication| Double Minor:Peace & Conflict Respolution and History | Class Standing in Fall 2025: Junior

VICE PRESIDENT CANDIDATE STATEMENT:

As a candidate for Vice President at CSUCI, I'm running because I truly care about making our campus better for everyone in as many ways as possible. I want to breathe new life into our student government by making it more open and representative of what students need. I will focus on improving how our Senate functions, from better communication between committees to holding representatives accountable, we'll be able to respond faster to student concerns. Beyond the formal structures, I'm passionate about getting students connected to campus life and to each other. Higher education isn't just about classes, and I want to support both civic involvement and emotional well-being. I'll be working closely with Quinn and supporting her vision. Together, we'll make sure students understand exactly how university funds are being used and have a say in those decisions. We're committed to better showcasing the incredible resources our campus offers, many of which receive little to no advertising. I want to promote a culture where we all take responsibility for maintaining and sharing these resources with future Dolphins. I'm excited about these possibilities, and I hope you'll join me in making them happen!
