Student Organization Officer Orientation

Sports Club Officer Orientation

If you are a Sports Club President, Vice President or Treasurer you will need to attend a mandatory Zoom Officer Orientation.

Safety Officers must provide Recreation Staff with copies of First Aid/CPR certifications and attend a Safety Officer Orientation.

Sports Club Officers can contact Recreational Sports Assistant, Lauren Zahn, at or 805-437-2642 if there are questions about the Sports Club orientations. If you are unable to attend Sports Club Orientation please contact Lauren as soon as possible.

Advisor Orientation

All Student Organization Advisors must complete a Student Organization Advisor Orientation. The Advisor Orientation must be completed by the registration deadline, or no later than 10 business days after the advisor assumes their position (in the event of an advisor change). Advisor Orientation is included in the Advisor Agreement form sent to all advisors after the organization has submitted their renewal/registration request.

Student Organization Cash Handling Training Workshop

All student organizations (SO) should have a secure plan for cash and check handling related to student organization business and fundraising. Before handling cash, student organization members and officers must view the ‘SO Cash Handling Training’ online, and pass the related 5-question quiz in CI Sync (Cash Handling Quiz).
